This spacious (approx 2,000 sq. ft of living space is a rare ground level vacation home located directly on the Gulf of Mexico it’s “Ocean Front” views are breathtaking. Your dream vacation in paradise begins with an added bonus of Private large Landscaped yards Private Pool Private 110’ deep water fishing pier/boat dock including boat house and bait freezer.
The interior; of the home has separate Mini-Split remote controlled Air Conditioning in every room for ultimate comfort during your stay. Florida Keys, hand cast Terrazzo flooring thru-out with a Large inviting Living room featuring a tropical themed decor including; sofa, arm chairs, coffee table, end table, lamps, lighted ceiling fan, 55" flat screen Smart HD TV, High speed wifi internet and office desk for your use while you stay. The family room has large windows with a gorgeous views of our Florida Keys Palm trees.
The Suite; The Master suite features Queen size bed, clothes dressers, chest of drawers, night stands with lamps, ceiling fan, large flat screen TV, separate remote controlled Mini/Split A/C, attached full Bathroom with step-in tiled shower/tub, and pass through Private entry door to the back Balcony and the Pool/Outside entertainment area as well as the dock.
The Bedrooms; Both the 2nd. and 3rd. Guest bedrooms have a queen size and single size bed in each, for a total of 5 beds in the house 3-queen and 2-single, everyone has a real bed! Each bedroom has it’s own remote controlled Mini-Split AC unit for your comfort, ceiling fans and plenty of storage for your clothes. Both guest rooms, also like the Master have separate entry doors leading out to the patios and pool entertaining area. Guest can come and go from their bedrooms without disturbing the other member of your group.
The kitchen; is fully stocked with appliances including built in microwave, gas range, oven, dishwasher, and side-by-side refrigerator with ice/water on the door, included is also a full array of dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots/pans, and small appliances; toaster, coffee maker, and most importantly a Margarita maker machine! The inside dining area is has french doors that open to the spacious outdoor patio, and more fantastic open water views.
The Laundry; a separate laundry house just off the Kitchen with full size washing machine and dryer, folding area, and even a second full size refrigerator.
The Pool Area; The custom pool is a large in-ground 3’-6’ deep, that’s heated or chilled as needed, offering our guest an oasis that’s perfect for relaxing and enjoying a Keys cocktail. The outside entertainment/pool area of this home is a two tier patio that’s nicely appointed with patio tables and chairs, sun loungers, and a gas grill. You will love sitting on the patio or poolside for morning coffee and relaxing sunsets on the water. The only thing that separates the house from the water is our large landscaped yard and private boat dock.
The Dock/Pier/Boathouse; The 110’ long deep water pier style dock features dock lights, 15 Amp electric (30-50 Amp available if needed at extra cost) a large fish cleaning station, outbound mooring pylons for securely quarter tying up larger fishing or offshore boats. All deep water access that’s directly on the “Ocean” well to be technical it’s the Gulf of Mexico but you’ll never know by the view you see only the earths curving edge off in the distance or boats passing by. And best of all a private boat house for storage of your fishing and dive gear during your stay. The boat house also has a full size bait freezer for our guest to use, we’ve thought of everything including the Gas Grill to cook up your catch of the day! The dock is direct Gulf access with only a few minutes boat ride to the Vaca Cut or the 7 mile bridge for the Atlantic Ocean and world class Marathon fishing, you can be diving, snorkeling, and have your lines in the water in no time! You can even catch mangrove snappers, chubs, barracudas and grunts and more right off the dock.
Boat Ramp/Launch; Marathon has several nearby, the closest and one of the best is a public boat ramp located right down the street at 33rd. Street on the Gulf side, that’s only ½ mile by water back to our dock. Boat Fuel is an on-the water fuel dock it’s only ½ mile away.
Kayaks; This home rental offers complementary kayaks to our guest you can explore the Gulf waters, the nearby Mangroves or go fishing from our kayaks.
Parking; The property has a large circle driveway with plenty of easy parking that can accommodate your boat trailer and vehicles.
Security; The home has a private gated entrance and fenced landscaped yards, the property uses security cameras to monitor the outside property.
Area Attractions; The Turtle Hospital is right next door and Crane Museum, Aquarium Encounters, Dolphin research and many other attractions are just a few minutes away. Marathon is the ideal location for a Keys vacation. Located directly in the middle of the Florida Keys, nothing seems to be too far away. Spend an evening in Key West visiting the local haunts or watching the sunset at Mallory Square. Half way down, stop for a round of mini-golf at Boondocks, or go the opposite direction towards Key Largo and visit John Pennecamp State Park that is just 45 minutes away. Marathon has it all a variety of tourist attractions, shopping, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, marinas, bait & tackle shops, dive shops and more.
Beach’s; We have the best in the Florida Keys rent this home and you’re just a few minutes away from having your “toes in the sand” at Sombrero Beach and the Bahia Honda State Park.
Rules, Check-in Check-out Smoking Pets; The City of Marathon mandates that we rent ALL our Single Family Homes for a Minimum of 7 Days. Vacation In The Keys may have other properties or options for 4-5-6 night stays in the Keys. Please contact us directly at vacationinthekeys if you are looking for alternative dates. Rentals during peek times and Holidays run from Saturday to Saturday other times of the year can be flexible. Check in is at 4 pm and Check out is at 10 am. Please NO SMOKING in this home at anytime, NO PETS and NO more then our 8 person license can be allowed. We look forward to accommodating you on your next fun-filled Vacation in the Keys!
Cancellations; We understand sometimes plans need to change, your booking is a block in time on our vacation property, and we need time to replace bookings that are canceled. This being understood, ALL cancellations are subject to a $150.00 re-booking fee. We’re not in business to make money off of a bad situation just trying to cover our cost of book keeping reservation management and the resulting cost of office staff. We have the standard cancellation policy of;
More then 60 days prior to check-in you will receive 100% of paid funds refunded (less re-booking fee)
Less than 60 but more than 30 days prior to check-in you will receive 50% of paid funds refunded (less re-booking fee)
Less than 30 days prior to check-in you would not receive a refund.
Cancellations and what we do different then others; We also understand that you may really hate to cancel, and miss out on your planned vacation to the Keys. With this in mind Vacation In The Keys offers to our guest that need to cancel the following;
If we can re-book your full scheduled reservation we will hold for you as full credit of your cancellation withholding's (less re-booking fees) this amount can be applied towards your re-booking of any of our homes provided that home has open availability and you stay within one
calendar year from your original date of arrival.
If we can only re-book a portion of your canceled dates we will offer the same on a pro-rated basis. While we will try our best to re-book your dates this is in no way a guarantee that we can on short notice, but we will be happy to try, where most host would just keep your money.
Note if you booked through a 3rd party booking host we cannot at anytime return any monies, or value of monies that they charged you as a “service fee” or “host fee” paid to them.
Cancellations Storms or COVID; Anytime the County (Monroe County our governing body for our business) Closes, Shuts us down, Restricts us, or Evacuates our guest by mandate, we WILL return ALL or Pro-rated if your already in our home, of your held monies. If you booked through a 3rd party booking agent they hold and would need to return the portion they charged you as “service fee” and they usually will in time. It’s your choice if you want to re-book under our company exclusive re-booking offer, if not we will return you monies usually within 48-72 hrs.
Travel Insurance; While we do what is within our power to control. If you feel your at risk for not being able to make your scheduled vacation reservation for any reason other than what we cover. We recommend you obtain your own personal Travel Insurance Policy, several 3rd. Party companies offer this service with many different levels of coverage we’re not allowed to show preference by recommending any particular company, just look over your options and pick what works best for your needs.
License; Vacation In The Keys LLC. found on the net at vacationinthekeys - is a fully licensed vacation rental business representing several luxury vacation rental homes throughout the Florida Keys. We offer (depending on local requirements) short term and long term vacation rentals. With this property, the City of Marathon mandates that we can only rent this single family homes for a Minimum of 7 Days, (or a longer period) Rentals during peek times and Holidays run from Saturday to Saturday other times of the year can be flexible. Nature; Please note this home is directly on the water, as all direct waterfront homes in the Florida Keys, Natures Seasonal trade winds may push surface grass to the shoreline of the property, at the dock and waters edge from time to time. This uncontrolled occurrence being somewhat “seasonal” by the spring trade winds, may result in the grass having an odor as it dissipates.
Other Info; All of our homes come fully stocked with all bedding, linens, towels, wash cloths, beach towels, also Vacation In The Keys provides a basic complimentary starter kit of bath hand soaps, 2 rolls toilet paper per bathroom, 1 roll paper towels per kitchen. Guests will need to provide ongoing supplies for their stay.

Our House cleaners are a Separate fully licensed and insured vacation rental cleaning company located here in the Keys. They were and are certified for COVID Protocol Best cleaning Service. Each home once cleaned and COVID Clean Certified by the cleaning company trained staff is reviewed and then locked to entry by anyone until you arrive.
Unless you have a need or request for us to meet on site or enter the home, it’s yours to enjoy alone.
The pool is professionally cleaned and has safe Chlorinated water. As per COVID protocol.
We have plenty of PRIVATE space by the pool, patio or property for sun lounging and safely relaxing in the Key!

Standard Policy: For all cancellations, a $250 fee will be withheld by the property manager to cover admin fees and Credit card fees After that, the following refunds apply:

IF Monroe County Mandates no entry into the Keys for any reason Named Hurricane, Tornado, Covid19 ETC... you will receive a full refund with the exception of the admin fee.

This is the perfect keys house for our family. They house was open and comfortable and the pool and boat dock made it ideal. We were out on the water every day and returned back to the house to relax in the pool and cook out on the grill. We had a great visit and will return again.
The Florida Keys has always been my favorite place to visit but Mike Hood at Vacation In The Keys made it even better! 10/10 Would recommend planning your keys vacation with Vacation in The Keys! Turtle Cove had everything we could have asked for! It when you walk in you know you are in the Keys. It is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes could not have had a more equipped kitchen! The views are amazing! Relaxing in the pool while looking out over the open water was incredible! We will definitely be back again!!!
